History of the Celtic Knot

Thousands of years ago, the Celts left behind an enduring legacy of almost hypnotic knots. Some of these knots were called the work of angels. The Celts believed strongly in the interconnectedness of all life and their interlaced patterns reflected this belief. The knots symbolize eternity, continuity and the never endingness of life.

In ancient times, a young Celtic girl named Sanopia lost her life by drowning in the sea. It is said that the fairies, who were lovers of children, cried so hard their tears caused a giant flood throughout the land. From that day on, the Fairy Queen demanded that her kingdom of fairies were to watch over all of the children in the world and keep them safe from harm.
