Matthew: The Jewish GospelMatthew's gospels was penned toward the Jewish community. Although it is present thought as written in Greek, the common language of the time, according to Eubsebius it was written originally in Hebrew and targeted the conversion from Judaism of the Jews1. It was written in other languages, such as Syriac-Aramic. It shows Jesus Christ of Nazareth, as the reported Moshiach (Messiah) of Israel. It displays the fulfillment of multiple prophetic messages, which the Jewish scripture (the books of Moses, the Psalms, and the Prophets) spoke concerning him. The most famous portion of this text is the Sermon of the Mount, which portrays the living philosophy of this living Moshiach. Mark: The Gentile Gospel
