Chaetopleura angulata

This two inch chiton is elongate oval in shape and moderately elevated. The valves are light to chestnut brown in color often with dark brown markings on the jugal areas. The lateral areas are slightly moderately raised and sculptured with faint, irregularly bifurcating, smooth radiating lirae. The central areas are sculptured with longitudinally, beaded lirae. The girdle appears leathery and is yellowish brown to chestnut in color.It is randomly covered with minute, pointed, hollow bristles.
