Lepidopleurus cajetanus (Poli, 1791)

This small chiton is elongated, more than twice as long as wide. The valves are elevated and dirty white to light ochraceous in color. The lateral areas are highly elevated and marked with thick concentric ribs. The lateral areas have somewhat branching longitudinal chains of granules. The girdle is very narrow and same color as valves. It is covered with roundish to squarish calcareous scales, non immbricating.
