Chiton (Rhyssoplax) canaliculatus Quoy & Gaimard, 1835
This half inch chiton is oblong and strongly elevated. The lateral areas of the valves are pink and strongly raised and sculptured with 4 or 5 radiating beaded ribs. The central areas are yellowish and have a narrow smooth space upon the ridge, sculptured on each side with about 16 strong longitudinal ribs. The dorsal ridge is pink with an olive-green stripe on each side. Sometimes the valve color is olivaceous, or olive and rose. The girdle is covered with small scales. Taken from Pilsbry
