Mopalia cirrata Berry, 1919

This five-eighth inch chiton has a medium wide sandy girdle with a single long slender hair coming from each sutural pore. The mucro is slightly elevated and posterior. The central areas have slightly curved longitudinal ribs interspaced with finer cross riblets forming a net-like pattern. The lateral areas are highly defined by a row of pustules. The areas are beaded. There is a posterior ridge of pustules on the lateral areas. The color of this chiton is gray with blue suffusion or soiled buff with brown suffusion. The color of the girdle is buff.
