
Stenoplax corrugata (Carpenter in Pilsbry, 1892)
This one inch, oblong, chiton has a moderately raised dorsal. The color of the valves is variable, whitish, salmon red, ashy, often marked with lilac and brown. Valve surface micro granulose. The lateral areas have 4-6 ill defined, irregular, concentric corrugations. The central areas are smooth. The girdle is narrow, colored like valves and covered with very small, transparent, rounded scales.
