This 28 mm chiton is an exquisite example of the Acanthochitonas. The tufts of spicules on the girdle are long and colored green, pink or bronzy. Only a small dorsal portion of the dark-olive valves shows between the girdle. A perfect specimen of this chiton is a great beauty.
