
Stenoplax fallax Carpenter in Pilsbry, 1892
This two and one-half inch chiton has a medium wide, fine sandy girdle. Mucro is median and depressed. Centrals have longitudinal ribbing with some pitting near lateral area. The lateral areas have close radiating low3 ribbing interrupted by concentric growh lines. Color of valves is rose, lavender or mottled buff. Color of girdle is mottled cream and brown.
