Stenoplax floridana (Pilsbry, 1892)
This one and one-half inch chiton is about three times as long as wide. The valves are strongly arched and colored whitish to whitish-green with markings of olive, blackish olive or gray. Lateral areas are raised with strongly beaded longitudinal riblets. Central areas have wavy, longitudinal ribs. The girdle is marbled with bluish and gray and covered with round, solid, finely striated scales.
