Stenoplax heathiana Berry, 1946

This three inch chiton has a medium wide girdle covered with small round, finely striated scales. Mucro is median and prominent. Central areas are cross-ribbed making a diamond shaped pitting. Lateral areas raised and well defined with radiating ribs. Color of shell is cream mottled with grays, lavenders and greens. Color of girdle is cream banded with maroon or gray.
