This 30 mm chiton has a moderately wide girdle, color greenish, often with alternating bands of darker and lighter tones. The girdle is densely covered with minute, pointed spicules, and abundant, yellowish brown, corneous hairs. The valve colors are reddish, mottled with white and brown. Some specimens with green.
