Eudoxochiton nobilis (Gray, 1843)
This large, two and half-inch chiton is oblong and elevated with the valves well arched. The color is uniform dark brown with scarlet mottling near the beaks. The lateral areas are moderately raised and smooth except for microscopic granulation. The central areas have indistinct growth lines. The girdle is leathery and rusty brown in color. It bears short, rigid black spinelets. Taken from Pilsbry
