Ischnochiton oniscus
(Krauss, 1848)
This small chiton appears smooth but the lateral areas are visible. The central areas are very finely punctate on dorsum and longitudinally striated on pleural. The valve colors are quite variable. The girdle scales are small, more or less opaque and brown in color.
Illustrated specimens are from the Burghardt Collection and were collected by Alan Seccombe at Glencalm, False Bay, South Africa.
