
Lepidozona regularis (Carpenter, 1855)
This moderately large (one and three-quarter inch) chiton has a narrow scaled girdle. The lateral area has radiating threads. The central area has long beated threads. The tail valve has an anti-median mu ro with post-median radiating threads. The area anterior to mucro has longitudinally beated threads. The girdle and valve are slate-blue or olive-green. Easy species to recognize.
