
Callistoplax retusa (Sowerby, 1832)
This 20 mm chiton is elongate - length twice or more the width. Color of valves is mostly uniformly creamy yellow to pale tan. Some specimens have faint brownish streaks. The girdle is narrow, light brownish, appearing naked except for bunches of stout, brownish, straight or curved, chitinous bristles.
