Ischnochiton rissoi (Payraudeau, 1826)

This one inch chiton elongate oval in shape with moderately raised valves. The color of the valves is light olivaceous, speckled with whitish and bluish dots or blotches. Some specimens are pink, light purple or dark reddish brown. The lateral areas are moderately raised with radiating concentric wavy lirae. The central areas have longitudinal concentric lirae. The girdle is moderately wide and light greyish green or olivaceous in color covered with imbricating scales.
