Ischnochiton textilis (Gray, 1828)


This 1 1/2 - 2 inch sized chiton is rather shallow, arched but not keeled. The central area has coarse, wavy, longitudinal ribbing. The lateral areas are decorated with radiating coarse rugose riblets. The valves are straw colored. The girdle is broad with large imbricating white scales.
