
Amicula vestita (Broderip & Sowerby, 1829)
This is an oval, rather elevated chiton with the valves nearly covered by a brown skin continued upward from the girdle, but their outlines are plainly visible through this integumennt. The samll exposed portion of each median valve is broadly heart-shaped and situated at the posterior margin of each vaalve; it is sculptured with strong concentric grooves and a more or less distinct granulation. Girdle thin, smooth with sparesely scattered small bunches of hairs (taken from Pilsbry's Manual of Conchology).
