The Ragdoll is a low maintenance cat. Their fur is rabbit-like and requires very little grooming as they seldom mat. The Ragdoll comes in several different colors - seal, blue,chocolate, lilac, red, cream, tortie/torbie and four different patterns - With the newest pattern being Lynx. The Lynx pattern is tabby markings which add barring to the point coloring.
COLOR POINT: Dark mask, ears, legs and tail, distinct contrast to a pale body color.
MITTED POINT: Same as the color point but, it has white front paws, white back legs and chin.
BI-COLOR: Pointed colored ears and tail, a white inverted "V" that extends down in a line through the eyes, chin, ruff and stomach.
Trying to purchase a kitten sight unseen or via a photograph doesn't give you a first hand idea of a kittens personality - the personality that you as the new owner will be living with for many years to come.
Check with us regarding the availability of kittens. Since we do not have a waiting list, if you just happen to call us at the right time, we invite all prospective parents come to visit when the kitten is 8 weeks of age. This way we get to meet you and you get to meet your new family member in person! Visiting in our home will give you an opportunity to see and meet the adult Ragdolls that live here at our Furreal home with us!
The Ragdoll is a very quiet type of cat but will let you know when it is mealtime or when they just want some extra tender loving care! They love to be stroked and will follow you throughout the house just to be with you. Ragdolls get along with children, dogs, and other cats too.
Ragdoll kittens are born white and will obtain full color at about 2 years of age. Neutered males will weigh between 13 - 20 pounds. Adult females weigh approximately 5 pounds less. The Ragdoll breed is slow to mature. They reach full maturity in 3 - 4 years.
Here at Furreal, we don't work off of a waiting list and we also do not ship. We believe in encouraging prospective families to purchase their new babies from breeders that are within driving distance. It is our belief it is in the best interest of the kitten and the prospective new owner to know exactly how and by whom your kitten was raised. Meeting in person also helps you to determine if a Ragdoll is truely the right breed for you and your family.
