The testimonials continue to come in to Prem Raja Baba from people who have benefited from "The Joy Book," which he wrote and self published. A Mount Shasta resident, Prem says The Joy Book is not really a book, but a transformational system that "effects a total restructuring of your consciousness to fit a new technology, a technology that will allow you to function in joy."
In The Joy Book, Prem details "The Five Steps of Unconditional Love" as well as "Command Subconscious Programs. His Five Steps of Unconditional Love are: circular connected breathing; complete relaxation; awareness in detail: integration into ecstasy; and do it now, be spontaneous.
The Command Subconscious Programs, according to Prem, are a system for making telepathic contact with God and retrieving a specific program that when put into your human omputer rewrites your hard drive and removes thoughts that are creating problems or illnesses.
Missi Gillespie, owner of the Golden Bough bookstore in Mount Shasta, said she sold more of Prem's book this past winter than any other book in her store, most of them by mail order to customers all over the country. "People have loved it," said Gillespie. "They've tried one, then ordered a dozen for their friends. The thing works. Prem did a good job putting it together. " The dozens of testimonials Prem has received from readers collaborate Gillespie's statement.
A woman from Burns, OR, wrote to Prem to tell him that the urinary tract infections she'd suffered from for 19 years disappeared after she began using the Command Subconscious Programs, as well as other processes Prem recommends in The Joy Book. "Thank you for the command subconscious programs, the joy steps, and the healing power they have had on my life," wrote a woman from San Rafael. "I had previously suffered from Chronic Fatigue since I was a child... Shortly after working with your new technologies, I felt energy and health return to my life... Within three months I was holding two jobs working 60+hours a Week after a year of poor attendance at a part-time position.
A woman who works as a paramedic for the San Francisco Department of Public Health told Prem in a letter addressed July 28th, 1996 that she woke from sleep a few days earlier with a sudden urge to visit Mount Shasta, a place she had never been before. She drove to Mount Shasta, bought his book at the Golden Bough, read about two-thirds of it that night and finished it the next morning. She then began using The Five Steps of Unconditional Love and "suddenly felt a falling away" of the burden she'd been carrying from having been "abused and badly programmed by my parents.
"In its new book report for June, The Magical Journey wrote of Prem's book: "It's not too often we have customers flying in the door to tell us a book has totally changed their life. The word of mouth on this book has been awesome. This book contains a transformation system of changing your consciousness.
Prem said he wrote the first part of The Joy Book in Bisbee, AZ, and published it as a pamphlet. It was in the summer of 1991, while camping on Mt. Shasta, that Prem says he discovered the Command Subconscious Programs.
