EQTimer

EQTimer is a utility I wrote to help me time events when I am playing EverQuest. The main objective was to make the program as easy to use as possible so using it would not interfere with playing the game. EQTimer can be used to time any events but it is specifically designed to be used with EverQuest. Obviously you will need a separate computer to run EQTimer on as EverQuest takes over the whole computer.

One of my characters is a Shaman which I solo a lot. Before I begin fighting I summon a pet and buff him up. Different buffs last different times which make it really tedious to keep track of all of them. It is also easy to miss the 'Your pet's xxxx spell has worn off' if it happens during a fight. Using the separate timers to time all the different buffs make it really easy to keep all the buffs up at all the times.

I also use EQTimer when I am camping static spawns (Ice Giants, Gornit, Spirocs in Timorous Deep, etc.

Here are the main features of the program:

EQTimer is freeware, you are welcome to download it and use it freely. It is written in Visual Basic 6.0. If you already have all the required VB 6.0 files on your computer (MSVBVM60.DLL, MSCOMCTL.OCX, etc), you can just download the executable and help file (EQTimer.zip) and copy them to any directory.

If you do not have the VB 6.0 library, etc. files, you should download the installer file (EQTimerInstall.zip) which installs all the required VB files and installs EQTimer in C:\Program Files\EQTimer directory.

EQTimer.zip - Version 1.0 (build 84), size 56K- Executable and help file only
EQTimerInstall.zip- Version 1.0 (build 84), size 2196K - Installer if you do not have VB 6.0 files loaded on your computer

Any comments, complaints, suggestions, feedback, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I have tried to make this program as easy to use and useful as possible. You can reach me at kai@inreach.com
