Trading or Selling Pins:
All trade offers are considered. Usually, what make my response slow is either I am waiting to hear back from someone concerning the same pin or I need to find a scan of the pin you are offering.
I prefer to trade pins more than selling pins. This way both parties get a pin they want or need.
Since there are so many new pins, I do not buy very many extra pins from San Francisco and Sacramento except for anniversary and exceptionally cool looking pins. Please let me know and I can make a special trip to pick more up.
I will sell pins especially ones that are not moving particularly fast. I am more willing to sell a pin I have had for a while.
I will set the price based upon the following: my cost, how many I have, and how long in my inventory. There is always someone out there cheaper than me because they do it for a living. For me, it is just a hobby, and a time consuming and costly one at that.
I will do my best to be fair in trading but I have only been trading since 1998 and may not always know how hard it was for you to get your trader pins.
Please be patient with me. Sometimes, I gets busy at work and I cannot get around to answering e-mails as quickly as I would like. Go ahead and send a second e-mail with the pins you wanted in the subject line of the message.
Shipping of Pins:
For smaller shipments, I mail the pins in bubble wrap lined envelopes with additional bubble wrap around each pins. For larger shipments, I mail the pins in small cardboard boxes with either bubble wrap, packing foam peanuts or old recycled bubble wrap lined envelopes to keep the pins from moving during shipment.
For domestic mail, I use the United States Postal Service First Class Mail and can typically get a package in the mail within 24 to 48 hours. Most packages arrive in 2 to 4 working days, but had a few arrive a month later (one package just after 9/11/02).
For overseas mail, I use the United States Postal Service Air Mail (PAR AVION) and will typically get a package in the mail on weekends or my day off. For rush orders, I will try to mail after work but this is not always possible. Most arrive in 5 to 7 working days.
If you have problems receiving foreign mail, please let me know and I will use registered or insured mail especially for pins of higher value.
