Welcome to my Astronomy page

These are my first attempts at astrophotography.

Using a DSI CCD camera with a f 3.3 focal reducer.

My telescope is a Meade LX 90 8"  Cassegrain Catadioptric design.

Mounted on a wedge using polar mount.

This picture of Saturn was done using a

Barlow and DSI  at .0250 sec. 50 frames.

Wide field view of The Great Orion Nebula M2 & M43

Taken with the DSI & 3.3 Focal reducer. 30. sec. 25 frames.

First light for the telescope, DSI & Me.

This picture of  Nebula in Orion is with the

 DSI only.15 sec. 35 frames.

This is part of the same Nebula in Orion

Here are my first pictures of the moon with no filters.

The mountain range is called Mare Imbrium showing Caucasus Montes Alpes and Vallis Alpes.

This one reminds me of the Table mountains near where I live.

I used the Barlow & the sharpening filter in Envisage.

This one is a mosaic of 3 images.                                          This mosaic is of two images using the Barlow.

The gash near the top is like a fracture not from

               an asteroid. It's dimensions are 6 x 100 miles.

This is a mosaic of 8 pictures using the 3.3 focal reducer & UHC filter.

Jupiter with 3 of the moons taken with DSI .225 sec. Jupiter 137 frames moons 36 frames.

Spindle Galaxy C 53 Taken with DSI & f 5 focal reducer 15 sec. 34 frames.

Sombrero Galaxy using DSI 30 sec. 30 frames.

Thanks for viewing my pictures.

This is a really cool program  for seeing conditions.
