About Eric

Eric is the Morning News assignment reporter, so every morning he's sent out to the location of one of the top stories that's in the news block at the top of each hour. He frequently heads to the beach when reporting on an exercise- or health-related story and stops people biking or rollerblading on the beach bike path. When he isn't at the site of a bad or serious story, he'll try to joke around at the end of his story, but since he's not in the studio, Carlos, Barbara, and Mark have him at a serious disadvantage when it comes to the friendly jibes.

Running jokes about Eric

The first time Eric is at a location where there's snow, he must make a snow angel. In mid-November, he was out at the beach reporting on the sand burms that had been built to protect the coastal houses from high surf, and he made a sand angel!
