Present theory: per Stephen Hawkings postulates that there could be as many as 11 dimensions within our Universe. Present astronomical theory postulates that as much as 90% of the matter in the Universe is "dark matter" which we cannot at this time see or measure. Present theories also postulate that there are particles which can exceed the speed of light. Within the time/space continuim in which we exist there are four known dimensions and as a two dimensional entity could not observe our existence nor can we percieve dimensions beyond the four in which we exist. Present experimental data indicates that a particle accelerated to 90% the speed of light begins to asymptotically expand and if the speed of light were attained or exceeded would be greater in size than our entire Universe. Should the particle exceed the speed of light could it be that it simply will now move beyond the four dimensional space/time which we are immersed within and would then become "visible" in higher dimensional realities.

Should we consider that as four dimensional beings that we can percieve physical objects within the boundries of setting the speed of light as our maximum and that objects going beyond that speed will remain outside of our perception.
