Minutes of Board Meeting

DATE: Monday, Feb 4, 2002

TIME: 9:00 A.M.

PLACE: Horsethief Golf Club

The meeting was called to order by President Carlos Lillywhite. Additional board members present were Vice President Andy Strong, Treasurer Paul Beckett, Membership and Handicap Chairman Cecil Clark, and Board Member Dick Burris. Tournament Chairman Tom Crumrine was also present. Club Pro Leon Fourie and Secretary Steve Cherry were absent.

TREASURER'S REPORT: Treasurer Paul Beckett provided an updated report showing a balance of $7327.09. The Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) membership bill is still outstanding.

MEMBERSHIP AND HANDICAP CHAIRMAN'S REPORT: Cecil Clark reported that the membership currently stands at 127. Cecil will also obtain memorial plaques in memory of Chuck Thomas and Jim Gattian.

TOURNAMENT CHAIRMAN'S REPORT: Carlos congratulated Tom Crumrine for running a very successful Superbowl Scramble last Sunday. Tom summarized the results of the questionnaire that he distributed and said that the responses were somewhat meager. He also said that future Club Championship Tournaments will recognize both a net and gross champion. The gross champion will represent the club in the SCGA Tournament of Champions.

The next meeting will be March 5, 2002.
