PLACE: Horsethief Country Club
The meeting was called to order
by President Steve Cherry. Board members present were President Cherry, Secretary
Bill Duggins, Treasurer Paul Beckett, and Board Member Roger Hooks. Also
present were Horsethief Country Club Representative Tammy Ramirez, Cecil Clark,
Tom Crumrine, and Jim Dyer. Board Members absent were Vice President J. Taylor,
Jesse Ramirez and Tony Lazenby.
MINUTES: The minutes of the
February 4, 2003 meeting were read and approved.
TREASURER'S REPORT: Paul Beckett
provided the current treasurer's report which was approved. A copy of the
report is attached.
HANDICAP CHAIRMAN: Cecil Clark briefly
discussed the new touch-screen computer and reported an updated member count of
123.
Tom Crumrine reported the next
two tournaments would be held on March 15th and April 19th.
Tom also brought up the President's Cup Tournament in June. The first day of
the tournament will be stroke play and the second day, match play.
COUNTRY CLUB REPRESENTATIVE:
Tammy Ramirez reported the pro shop has a serious shortage of driving range
tokens. In light of this, the free Monday tokens for members is temporarily suspended
and she asked that members either use the tokens they have or return them for
credit. [Update: Shortage is no longer acute.
Monday tokens back to normal.]
Cecil Clark brought up the
subject of posting away scores. It is the responsibility of the individual
player to post his or her own scores, preferably at the course where the round
is played.
There being no other business,
the meeting was adjourned at 10:02 A.M.
