Minutes of Board Meeting

DATE: Tuesday, August 5, 2003

TIME: 9:30 A.M.

PLACE: Horse Thief Country Club

The meeting was called to order by President Steve Cherry. Board members in attendance were Jay Taylor, Paul Beckett, and Bill Duggins. others in attendance were Tom Crumrine, Jim Jackson, and HTCC Representative Tammy Ramirez.

A motion by Steve Cherry and seconded by Jay Taylor, was made to accept the minutes of the July 1, 2003 meeting as submitted. The motion passed unanimously.

Discussion was held concerning the upcoming board member elections. The list of nominees will be posted at the Country Club in a few days.

The yearly business meeting dinner was discussed and the 19th Hole at the Country Club was selected for both the meeting and the dinner.

Paul Beckett presented the monthly treasurer's report which was approved as submitted. A copy of the report is attached.

TOURNAMENT CHAIRMAN: Tom Crumrine noted that the recent President's Cup Tournament was completed on schedule and was a complete success.

The annual Member-Guest Tournament is scheduled for August 9th and 10th with approximately 64 players.

The next tournament will be held on Labor Day. Low index for the last six months will be used for a low-net format.

The annual club championship is coming up and again this year there will be a gross champion and a net champion.

NEW BUSINESS: Steve Cherry reported the men's club currently has 131 members.

President Cherry briefly reported on the condition of the golf course, in particular, the bunkers. No major points were made and no decisions were made concerning the course.

Tom Crumrine mentioned that he will not need the previously approved $500 for the Member-Guest Tournament.

The next board meeting will be on Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at 9:30 A.M.

HTCC Representative reported there is nothing new for the men's club.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:10A.M.
