page1 of 2 MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING DATE: TUESDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2004

TIME: 9:00am

PLACE: 19th HOLE The meeting was called to order by President Jim Walker. Board members in attendance were Jim Walker, Jay Taylor, Tony Lazenby, John Ehret, Bob Jones, Chris Wieland, Glenn Simpson, Bill Duncan, and Dave Theriault. Also in attendance were men's club members Bill Duggins, Jim Jackson, Dick Burris, Tom Crumrine, and Frank Copple. Jim Walker thanked Jay Taylor for his leadership for the past year and presented him with a certificate of appreciation. A round of applause ensued.

The minutes of the meeting of September 11th, 2004 were read by Bob Jones. The minutes were accepted as read. Bob turned over Secretary duties to Chris Wieland.

TREASURER'S REPORT: The treasurer's report was submitted by Tony Lazenby and copies were handed out to the board members. Tony submitted a balance of $3,247.00. Tony then handed duties over to John Ehret.

NEW BUISNESS: Copies of the BY LAWS were handed out to all members and will be reviewed. Jim Walker announced the new monthly tournament chairmen will be Steve Cherry and Bill Duggins. A tentative schedule was given to Bill Duggins which will be solidified in one month. The tournament chairman on Friday will continue to be volunteers such as Bob Azevedo, Glenn Simpson, etc.etc. Jim Walker announced the updated club roster must be submitted to the S.C.G.A. by November 15th with all applicants after the 15th paying a $10.00 late fee. Jim Walker brought up the possibility of changing locations of the monthly meeting to the C.S.D. boardroom. There might be insurance and liability issues. Dave Theriault will check into the costs and insurance for using the C.S.D. boardroom. In an effort to increase membership Tom Crumrine suggested opening the monthly tournaments to guests as long as they have a valid handicap.

PRO SHOP: Bill Duggins reported free tokens are reinstated on Monday for the members. The $1200.00 a year charge in the restaurant has been cancelled. Membership fees for single members have been reduced and are listed on the renewal forms.

HANDICAP REPORT: Bob Jones is the new handicap Chairman. Bob stated he will attend an S.C.G.A. handicap meeting when the list of dates is published. Chris Wieland and Dave Theriault said they will attend also so as to assist Bob. Jim Jackson said he will continue to help with the computer. Tom Crumrine reported difficulty in getting timely updates of the handicaps from the S.C.GA. Jim Walker said he will talk to an official at the annual S.C.G.A. meeting and report back.

Social CHAIRMAN: Glenn Simpson discussed the Christmas dinner. Details will be announced as soon as possible.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Chris Wieland will talk to Steve Cherry about posting the minutes on web site as well as other club information so all members have access including the out of town members.

ADJOURNEMENT: A motion to adjourn was made by Dave Theriault. All approved. The meeting was adjourned at 10:05am. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, at the 19th HOLE at 9:00am.
