About Our Meetings
The Sports Bowl has closed its doors, and we have no idea when, or if, they will reopen. We have learned they will only have a snack bar, and no restaurant. We have been able to confirm the next few lunches will be at Benvenuto Restaurant, 370 S. Main Street, in Lakeport..
The activities start at 10:00AM on the second Friday of each month with the "Board Meeting." The Board of Directors (Executive Committee), meets to decide matters of local interest.
under the leadership of Big Sir Bob Davis.
This month The Board accepted the resignation of Ken Rose, and acknowledged the deaths of Walt Brennan and Roger Sanders, which will leave us with an active membership of 85.
Following the Board Meeting, the membership starts filling the dining room.
The first order of business is to pick up name badges, and pay for lunch.
The tables fill early, and coversations take over.
The meeting will begin soon.
AUGUST MEETING: Friday, August 8, 2003
MENU: The entree was Pork Loin with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus vegetables, fruit and dessert. Chef salads were available.
SPEAKER: The speaker for August was State Traffic Officer Lance Mino of the Kelseyville CHP Office.
He discussed various aspects of the Highway Patrol. .
SEPTEMBER MEETING: Friday, September 12, 2003
MENU: The House Committee has not firmed the menu as yet.
SPEAKER: The speaker for September will be yours truly, Bob Surridge. The topic has not been decided, from three possible categories.
