"Innocent, The" (1994) . . . Jeff Kober as Tinsley.

Plot: The owner of a drugstore is intentionally killed during a hold-up. The only person to see the face of one of the murderers is a five year old autistic boy. A therapist encourages the boy to draw a picture of the man's face, but this makes the boy the killer's next target.

Picture of Jeff Kober as Tinsley Character Synopsis: Tinsley, along with his partner, Bates, isn't just brutal.   He is mental and really enjoys killing. Interestingly, though, his violence doesn't seem to be driven by anger. He's just nuts. However, even though he is crazy and violent, Tinsley is totally dependent on his partner, Bates, for direction.  It is Bates that keeps Tinsley in line . . . even though he is petulant about being controlled.

Too much time is used up on the hero's "suffering," but I still like this movie.  Of course it helps that the bad guys are really good.  These two psychos are really fascinating and much more interesting than the rest of the cast.  Jeff is sterling as Tinsley.  And I get the sense of an implied sexual relationship between them. Oddly stimulating.  Too bad we don't get to find out. -- songbird
