"Militia" (2000) -- Jeff Kober plays Tom Jeffries.
aka--"The Enemy Within." An HBO film starring Dean Cain, Frederic Forrest, and Stacy Keach.
| Plot:
The ATF is out to take down a dangerous militia group. To do this, one agent must go
undercover with the aid of an ex-militia member. Once inside, the agent finds his
"help" is playing a game of his own.
Character Synopsis: Tom Jeffries is the right hand to one of the leaders of the militia ... good at following orders, a true believer. As such, he is a danger to the ATF agent because they have met before, and Jeffries is not reluctant to kill the agent that shot his friend and leader. |

| Review: An okay movie with interesting plot twists ... better than most of this genre, but not outstanding. To bad it is marred by a very flat performance from Dean Cain. (How did anyone EVER think he was a really good actor?) Frederic Forrest makes it interesting ... is he a bad guy, or isn't he? And Keach is in excellent form as the perfectly reasonable voice for militia extremism. Jeff does not have a large part, but it is an important part and he plays it convincingly. At least he doesn't die until halfway through the movie. -- songbird | |
