"The First Power" (1990)  Jeff Kober plays Patrick Channing.

Plot: An L.A. detective versus the
spirit of an executed murderer.

Character Synopsis: Patrick Channing
is a serial killer whose pact with the
devil has given his spirit the power to
return from the dead and possess the
living so he can continue killing.

 

Although I personally only give this
movie two stars, it's really not bad.
Jeff is the one that really holds the
movie together.  He has much more
presence and drama than L.D.Philips.

Not that Philips is bad.  He's just not very convincing as a detective. The other flaw in this film has nothing to do with the actors, but the writers.  Very uneven.  --  songbird
