| PLOT: A company that constructs androids calls in hired
assassins to destroy one that killed a man while trying to save a woman from rape. The
incident could ruin the company, so the rescued woman — who witnessed the killing
— must also die. |

| Automatic starts off
promisingly and keeps getting better. The story is predictable, but it's a good one and
done very well. Jeff is wonderful as the leader of the assassins. You can
really believe his character enjoys what he does. He also gets more screen time (yay) than
the average bad guy, but he never over acts or "scene chews." He also
doesn't appear ineffectual or stupid like most movie bad guys. (That is left to his
soldiers. I guess good help is hard to come by in the mercenary biz, too.)
I like this movie and I like Jeff in it. -- songbird |
