CHINA BEACH (1988) -- Jeff Kober as Marine Sergeant Evan "Dodger" Winslow
| Plot: Popular series
about an army hospital and recreation center at China Beach and the women who served
there.
|
Character Synopsis:
Dodger is a super-competent soldier who chooses to spend most of his time in the bush ...
not for glory or because he likes it, but to help keep as many soldiers alive as he
possibly can. Quiet and retiring, he keeps to himself, befriending only three people
-- McMurphy, Boonie and Cherry.

| This really was an excellent show and Jeff, as Dodger, gave a heart-rendingly poigniant performance as a damaged soul trying to retain his humanity. Dodger was originally a supporting role. But by season two he became a regular because he was very popular with the audience. -- songbird |
