"Poltergeist: The Legacy" (1999)  Jeff Kober as Raymond Corvus
  Episode: Song of the Raven

Plot: Investigating bizarre murders in which
the victims' eyes are ceremoniously gouged
out, the Legacy members note the similarity
to murders committed five years earlier by
Raymond Corvus (Jeff Kober), currently on
Death Row at San Quentin.  They further
discover that all the victims were in some
way involved in Corvus' trial.

Character Synopsis:  Corvus is possessed by
the spirit of an ancient, evil "hunter."  An
intelligent, frightening murderer, he steals
the souls of his victims by removing their eyes. 
It is not murder to him ... it is destiny.  It is the
way things are.  Even behind bars he is able to
hunt and kill.  But his true goal is the death of
his body and release of his soul so he can
continue the hunt. 

Review:  Shades of The First Power!   However, this is written much better.  An excellent episode!  The story is handled well and Jeff was scary and kind of sickening as Corvus.  Playing him straightforward is much more effective than playing him as a psycho.  -- songbird    (back)  (TV/Cable)     (Movies)    (Theater)   (Main Page)
