Key Personnel

Our key personnel are trained professionals with a broad range of experience in soil remediation; facility decontamination and closure; underground storage tank removal; aboveground storage tank installation and regulatory compliance; and general engineering work.

The following descriptions provide a brief summary of the experience and expertise of Wright Environmental Services’ personnel. Resumes for all employees are available on request.

John Lynch, President has 23 years of experience in the construction and environmental remediation industries. Mr. Lynch has worked on and managed numerous environmental remediation projects. He has experience in facility closures, bio-remediation, building demolition, underground storage tank removals, aboveground storage tank installations, treatment systems installation, and managing the packaging and disposal of bulk and drummed waste. Mr. Lynch holds a B.S. degree in Organizational Behavior.

Scott Cragin, Business Development and Project Administrator is a highly skilled professional in the areas of business development within the fields of Engineering, Construction, and Remediation. Mr. Cragin is 24-hour HAZWOPER certified. He also is very skilled at project administration which involves the tasks of keeping projects organized and working efficiently. Mr. Cragin holds a B.S. in Aquatic Biology from the University of California at Santa Barbara allowing him to specialize in both marine and fresh water environments. He is highly involved in our wetland restoration projects.

Jeff Downs, Estimator/Project Manager is a highly skilled professional in a variety of areas. He has over 18 years of experience in the construction industry (commercial, residential, and public works). He is HAZWOPER certified and has extensive training in aeronautical engineering. Mr. Downs is a former member of the American Society of Professional Estimators and has a great deal of experience working with multi-million dollar accounts (e.g., design, negotiations, materials, and drafting). Mr. Downs also has many years of experience as a craftsman, carpenter, and foreman.

Chris Palmer, C. E. G., Geologist has 20 years of experience in environmental site investigation work. He has worked on numerous sites in Santa Clara Valley and California, performing many complex subsurface assessments and contaminant plume definitions. Mr. Palmer is an instructor for a groundwater investigation and remediation course and for a soils logging course at University of California Santa Cruz Extension, Hazardous Materials Program.

Maria Reid, Office Manager has over 14 years of construction accounting experience in accounts payable, accounts receivables, job cost tracking, and inventory control. She also is responsible for the overall financial tracking of the company, including compliance with labor laws.

Rick Corfman, Technician III has over 13 years experience in the construction industry (e.g., welder; fabricator; operator; layout crews; installing and servicing new petroleum equipment; and related civil field work). He has hands-on experience in underground and aboveground fuel installations; characterization and profiling; hazardous waste management; lubrication and air systems; and vehicle hoists. He is skilled in various phases of electrical, plumbing, concrete, and asphalt work.

Herb Dobkins, Technician III has over 13 years experience in the construction industry (e.g., welder; fabricator; operator; layout crews; installing and servicing new petroleum equipment; and related civil field work). He has hands-on experience in underground and aboveground fuel installations; characterization and profiling; hazardous waste management; lubrication and air systems; and vehicle hoists. He is skilled in various phases of electrical, plumbing, concrete and asphalt work.

Sherry Rita, Accounts Payable is a highly skilled bookkeeper able to handle a variety of ongoing tasks. She is responsible for the day-to-day tasks of bookkeeping, invoicing and budgeting. Ms. Rita is very talented with tracking numbers and invoices on a variety of ongoing jobs. She has many years of experience in the accounts payable and bookkeeping portions of the construction industry.

Scott Christner, Foreman has over 12 years of experience in the construction industry. He has had many years of experience in the following areas: tank demolition and installation; treatment system installations; hazardous materials remediation/management; characterization and profiling; maintenance; lift station operations and installations; spill responses; and other areas including plumbing, electrical, and concrete work. Mr. Christner is skilled in the areas of team management and supervision. He is very task and goal oriented.  He is also 40-hour HAZMAT certified along with confined space entry and can operate a numerous types of heavy machinery.

Jeremy Love, Foreman has over 12 years of experience in the construction industry. He has had many years of experience in the following areas: tank demolition and installation; treatment system installations; hazardous materials remediation/management; characterization and profiling; maintenance; lift station operations and installations; spill responses; and other areas including plumbing, electrical; and concrete work. Mr. Love is skilled in the areas of team management and supervision. He is very task and goal oriented. He is 40-hour HAZMAT certified along with confined space entry and can operate numerous types      of heavy machinery.

Brian Ackerman, Technician I, has over 5 years of experience in the construction industry. Mr. Ackerman is skilled in various areas including carpentry, sprinkler systems, landscaping, valves and piping, water systems and supply, cement work and construction. He also has had a great deal of experience with electrical work, cabinet installation, p-traps, and exhaust ducting. Mr. Ackerman is HAZMAT certified and is a great hands-on technician.
