This band is the only big swing band that is headquarted in the foothills. We are the largest at 11 pieces. The band covers Tuolumne, Calaveras, Amador, Mariposa counties and beyond. This band has been a mainstay in the Sierra's for many years. The band was started by Bob Deal, its current drummer and business manager. Bob and his wife Ruth played with the original Flashbacks band back in Texas and brought the concept out here with them when they headed west. Being an old time drummer he wanted a band that played music of the 40's as played in the 90's.

We represent what is known as the "Swingin' Years". The big band music of the 30's, 40's, and 50's. Original music arrangements by Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, and many others. We use these big band arrangements exclusively. Sit back, close your eyes, and listen to it exactly as it was recorded years ago.

We see the young people all over the country swing dancing to big band music played from real music as it was back then. This 11 piece band consisting of 4 saxes, 4 brass, and 3 rhythm instruments, is propelled by musicians that have extensive experience in the music industry. Unlike most 3 or 4 piece groups that are primarily rock bands, we play for dancing all night, every song. Swing dancing is no longer just for seniors. Everybody now partakes in it.
