Pure Black Country Birmingham Rolling Pigeons

From

J & J  Lofts

Our strain of rollers are down from William (Bill) H. Pensom,  Howard McCully,  J. Leroy Smith, and  Stan Plona. The Smith and Plona birds are mostly off Pensom's original imports. The McCully birds are the ones Pensom had when he died after moving to California. Then when McCully died a few years later, the birds went to Herb Sparks. At the time, 1978 or so, Sparks was moving and was unable to keep the birds. Having to stash them for awhile, they went to Joe Borges and Joe Kiser for safe keeping. Kiser kept half of the breeders and Borges had the other half.   These guys have been keeping these lines safe ever since!

Hello, my name is Art Lee. I'm lucky because Joe Kiser and Joe Borges were friends of mine back then and still are today. I'll never forget the day Kiser came over and brought me a kit of squeakers off those original breeders. Then I wanted some from Borges. Lets see, I was 22 just married and broke. He said that was no problem, all I had to do was to paint the eaves on his house. For which I received 10 beautiful stock birds off the originals. Life just couldn't get any better! So I hereby dedicate my loft name and this site to these two legendary breeders.
